"This mud is so good, I wrote a haiku about it: This mud completes me. Give me fifty roleplay points. I'd kill my first born."

Welcome to your Character Application page

From here you can login to begin your application. To do so you need to have an account. If you do not already have one please connect to the game and sign up. It only takes a few minutes.

Here at Shadows of Isildur, characters are by application only. This allows us to screen any new incoming PCs to ensure that the integrity of the roleplaying environment is preserved; also, it means we're at your disposal if you're stuck without any good character ideas! Don't be afraid to ask the guides or staff if you need help at any point. We have a New Players Forum too.

We also have information on Character Creation on our player wiki and we have an online help section filled with lots of information for new players.

We base ourselves five hundred years before the War of the Rings, a time before Rohan or Frodo, when the Watchful Peace was shattered as Osgiliath fell to the Witch-king and his uruk-hai army until Boromir the First confronted him on the Great Bridge and drove him back to Minas Morgul. The Corsairs have begun raiding Gondor’s southern shores and yet another uneasy truce between the Haradrim and Men of the West is threatened. Ithilien has been reclaimed, but South Mirkwood emanates unease and ever bolder Easterlings and orc tribes as the Necromancer stirs.

Join us as an orc in the Mines of Moria taking on the northlanders outside the Eastern Gate or the horrors in the dark. Play a northman warrior or guildsman in Angost, a fortified town positioned between Moria and Mirkwood, battling blackblood invaders as well as horrors enlivened by the growing shadow from Dol Guldur. Perhaps you would rather be a Gondorian, one of the stalwart willing to stand against the Enemy as you live in Minas Tirith, farm or hunt in the Pelennor, or serve with the Army of Gondor as it turns its might against those who would trespass in North Ithilien, then moves to secure the Undeep Forts at the northeastern tip of Calenardhon the last northern fief of Gondor. If that is not for you, try your hand at a Harad in the city of Fahad-Jafari, positioned on the southern border of Harandor, the oft-disputed land between Gondor and Harad. Travel as a merchant or guard between the different regions, or work to supply the Balchoth Easterlings as they continue to swell in numbers in the Mirkwood Bight. Choose which side you will take and join us today.

Be aware, that when you go back to a previous step, character data may be lost, and you will have to re-enter it. Be sure to keep a copy of your application.
