All I see are tiny little wabbits and boars. What happened to all the bears, wolves, wargs?

The Orc-sphere that remains.
Playtimes? Got any ideas for player-ran rpts? Staff-ran rpts? Any ideas other than twiddling our thumbs and waiting in preferred rooms for a human to show up?

PVP
Hello, I had a question regarding PVP. Despite there being 0 RPT's orc-side, there are still a number of orcs players, and even warg players. In game, it's about impossible to get a hand on a human, on the fact that you will be shot by a virtual force even if you're nowhere -near- the walls, and in ...

Re: Losing interest
Longbow suffers a major penalty in the same room situations. I believe. Discouraging approaching like Songweaver said. Depends. Shortbow is most accurate shooting2 rooms away. Longbow 3 rooms, crossbow point blank/1 room. Also, if you shoot into melee, you are taking penalties and will likely shoot...

Re: Losing interest
By glowing eyes, bri said it best. When I think glowing eyes, I think what bri explained pretty much. The suggestions of keeping some rooms dark, lit rooms in the bog etc etc would be awesome, and I personally feel it wouldn't be unfair to humans anyways. Orcs/wargs versus humans, elves, dwarves. (W...

Re: Losing interest
I think it would be awesome if orcs took daytimes penalties, in exchange for say, being able to see whats around them in the dark (the room they are in) which would also make warg-riders a whole lot simpler, along with having a weakened orc and a warg, rather an orc at full strength and a warg in th...

Re: Losing interest
I learned that the ambush bonus for attacking from hiding is massive. Its hard to pass up the massive chance to instantly kill someone to reveal yourself and rp with prey. we passed it up anyways, and I think the chance for some roleplay leading up to the combat was more rewarding than having every...

Re: Losing interest
Honestly I dont care that the orcs could follow with the assistance of a warg with night vision. What bothers me is the imbalance night vision presents in this situation..We had an elf. I'm not sure but I think old soi elves could see in the dark. It would level the playing field at least from a pv...

Re: Losing interest
If anyone is going to post about problems - do it accurately. Fair enough. Again, with players making assumptions. Did it ever occur to you that the orc leader may have been leading and the group was being guided/told where to go? I think they can follow a warg who's right next to them with glowing...

Re: Losing interest
[/color] Also, for any who have problems with orcs being near Utterby. Over the past 2 rl days, I've found multiple human tracks and elf tracks in the room -with- our gate. These visits seem to be common on both sides. Alas, I'm not a leader, so I can't do too much about this, but it's true. I usua...

Re: Losing interest
One coded room of no-hide seems a bit short, tbh. But at the same time, a coded distance of three no hide rooms is a bit much. Perhaps we do a two room no hide room and add it to the orc gates too?(Orcs don't have that) I'm all for having the no-hide rooms strictly be rp and harassing before code, a...

Re: PVP: how is it these days?
I just had my first experience of pvp. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I mean I love that I finally got some pvp. But I had a pc warg and pc orc search me out while I was hidden in a room. When I was revealed the warg gave a 1 liner emote then immediatly attacked. I was typing out an emote because...

Re: Orc Shamans.
I can completely agree with you. From not having coded support being a shaman, and being a new shaman, I figured charisma, and words of power would get me on my feet first. There will be alot of shamany stuff your thinking of, the opportunities simply haven't happened yet. If you have any tips, advi...

Re: The Orcs: A Perspective After Two Weeks
My personal opinion is that much of what has happened has been motivated by OOC circumstances. Both on the Staff-side and Player-side. On the Player-Side, OOC connections have buoyed and sustained some avenues of RP. While on the Staff-side, a desire to keep players alive and happy has resulted in l...
