Re: How to avoid getting bit/clawed/scratched/poked/gored et

What do you do when you are bleeding? Can you bind a wound while hidden? I know bleeding will most likely get you spotted and put you out of hiding, but does it increase mobs ability to find you even with zig-zagging? Always bind wounds as soon as possible, but always ensure you've gotten the snarf...

Re: How to avoid getting bit/clawed/scratched/poked/gored et

As a forest skulker, I found the best defense is anticipating movements. Scan -constantly-. If you see something in the distance, be aware if there is a chance of the enemy moving into the room when you move in. Note that if you begin sneaking out a room and an enemy comes in while you've begun the ...

Reasons.

Hey, so, recently I've sorta just stopped playing after stuff happened.

But I would LIKE to get back into playing, but I just feel like, you know, some feedback.

What's the reason YOU keep playing? Is there any reason for me to come back?

TehKory, I'm not going to respond to you properly until you take it to PM's instead of making a personal attack on me here. That's petty. The conversation is over here.

Re: Bored

I lost interest in the game when it happened. I'm still generally mad about it, and despite having 3 rpp and all of the ability to make a new character that has stat boosts, I find myself asking, 'What is the point?' I don't want to slog through the grind again. I don't want to introduce myself to p...

Re: Embarrassing

I don't play anymore because of various reasons, but from my time during the orcs, there are a few people that deserve to get their asses absolutely snarfagling thrashed when they act like shits. Literally nothing you say or do, even threatening 'troll smashing' will stop asshats from getting curbst...

Re: [Feedback Request] Current Armor & Weapons

Also, make 'feint' have a better use. I believe it sacrifices the first hit in two to make the second hit stronger/a crit? Bash is -very- good Feint, actually, gives your first attack a -1, and your second a +1, just to hit, if I remember the code correctly. And bash, while good, is also incredibly...

Re: [Feedback Request] Current Armor & Weapons

In my opinion, a swordsman wielding a longsword and a shortsword with high dual-wield should be very good at dealing damage. There shouldn't be nerfs to the weapons whatsoever. Styles are very hard to raise as it is, as weapons usually take prescedence when you're training. So raising dual-wield eno...

According to that craft, you'd be cloning Frigga, and making a happy Frigga with a clipped hangnail, and Frigga with a hangnail still.

You monster.

Re: Encumbrance and Hindrance

Harder to hit = / = Easier to deflect blows. They're not the same thing. If you're wearing gear that fits and compliments your form -just right- and you feel like it's a second skin, it'll allow you to more easily deflect blows. For example, wearing some amazing gauntlets would allow you to more fir...

Re: Encumbrance and Hindrance

You do realize the only reason these are hitting 'deflect' down is because they're shoddily made?
Get some good gear. They'll boost deflect. By quite a bit. And higher quality metals (e.g, iron instead of bog iron) will be lighter and stronger.

Re: PVP: how is it these days?

I feel like a silly daisy [language edited by Nimrod, keep the forums PG please.] because I tried to -hit- someone out of an ambush when they were out the gate on the way to go kill tarks, they walked right into us. I accidently cut him in half in the second round in combat. RIP newbie, I feel bad f...

Re: Crafts and Hiding

Most crafts shouldn't break hide. Collecting feathers shouldn't break hide. Foraging for bog iron shouldn't break hide, but it's there for balance reasons. Starting a fire should. Anything -loud- should break hide, but anything quiet shouldn't break hide. Anything involving light should break hide. ...

Re: Carry Over

This should be at LEAST policy during Alpha and Beta, if not the full game. That way it would allow characters to get another quicker start so we can fully flesh out the crafting and combat systems to perfection without having to kill 200 pig sows or cut 3000 wooden planks.

Re: Carry Over

I think this would be cool, but it would be abusive if jerks try to use it. For example, if there is a player who plays lots and lots of characters that die very quickly, would he eventually have a character that's mega strong for no reason? Maybe have a limit, and make it so that you can carry over...

Pauldrons. Leather. Metal. Some of us love the idea of single-pauldron awesome. Some like two pauldrons. Some don't like any pauldrons, because it takes up a wearloc for a bag, or a weapon. Leave it up to the players to decide. But I think making pauldrons should be a thing. Pauldrons are pretty si...
