Re: RPP Proposal

It is actually a pretty darned fine idea. Was this seriously BONES that came up with it? Wow. The only problem I see, which is the same as just completely limiting the number of high-rpp races, is that if someone sets their sights on a high rpp role that exists in the wiki, then when they finally g...

Happy Holidays

No matter what you celebrate, or even if you do not. Let's all take the time to enjoy what we can, even when all else is going wrong. If you're feeling down, or having problems during these winter months, reach out to your fellow player, admin, or person. To those who are having a difficult time of ...

Re: RPP Proposal

Just as a devil's advocate here, to lower RPP cost for some races.. Staff may or may not want to encourage selection of a certain race now and again. This could be done with what apparently happened to the Dunnies. Raising or lowering the RPP cost, dependent on in game census of races and plots etc.

Re: Refilling lanterns

refill empty-lantern General craft. Requires candles of some sort! There's apparently oil lanterns, as the one referenced here isn't usable in that craft. It's oil--not sure how to refill those, but I feel like the lantern craft used to be for oil lanterns, and his might be a legacy item left-over....

Pof Bekar would like to extend his apologies for his absence. He's been transferred across several departments at work 'bringing them up to speed', and it has nearly devoured his life. He expects to be back within the next week. Anyone who needs to get time slotted with him should please send a Hobb...

So Rivean the player breaks out immersion, but not Rivean's character.

Re: PC Hair Length

I think this is one of those things that should be hand-waived. If you want to have long hair, it's assumed you take pains to clean your hair (if you want clean) or not. While it might be expensive for the population at large, we are PCs. We are hero-characters in our own right. I would think that y...

Re: RPP Proposal

What did you think of the idea earlier in the thread about aligning stat boosts for special races to RPP, but not allowing RPP to be used to purchase further boosts on RPP races? So, for example, Dwarves require 3RPP, so they get +3 stat points, for instance, +1 dex, +1 con, +1 wil. Or a 4 RPP elf ...

Workshop Access

I've noticed that a major complaint of late is that players are having to shell out coin all the time, to go in and out of the workshop. I had a few ideas to lessen this. Monthly 'rent' to access the workshop in question. Instead of buying token after token, a person pays a small fee for a token tha...

I actually like that idea, of prior SP being available up to a percentage. That way those that want to make a venerable old soldier don't come in swinging like a buck private. An AU or Orc crafter with decades of experience doesn't come in at familiar.

And all others probably should(read: it's bad if/that they don't) have means of entering into them. If reasonable starters were added so that people could access the crafts that make sense, I'd be all for removal of the opener option from the proposed set of RPP stuff. As to the loans.. Well.. I co...

Re: RPP Proposal

Hmm.. Changes were made to the Wiki back in July.. It was, at least in the Wiki, stated for a time that Int determined the cap on each skill period. But that may have just been a bad entry. Why get a craft opened to you rather than grind it for free? Some skills you -can- learn by doing openers for ...

Re: RPP Proposal

The reason I say 'yes' for skill openers is this. At 1 rpp, you've got some trust accumulated. Enough that you shouldn't immediately act stupid and say 'Lol, I watched that guy hit metal with a hammer, and now I can make swords'. As well, not all skills are at all times available to learn IG. As men...

I agree that prices are insane right now. The only point where it makes sense for prices to be high, are metal goods.. And there's a current active fix that should A, open up ore for all, and B, put some coin in the pockets of two or three certain clans. But when you get 5-10 coppers a log from say,...
