Re: Free Videogames

'The Cat Lady' sounds like my real life! I'd like to play it.

This makes my heart sad, but I understand and concur. :( I'm really surprised at the last twenty four hours of moderation, too.

Re: Destiny PS4

I love stabbing things in the face that I really shouldn't as a Hunter, like ogres or princes. I'm having a lot of fun playing with people, but the story is a little on the iffy side. Maybe not as bad as Diablo III but who played that for story, anyway? Anyway. Pretty graphics, fun firefights, but I...

Re: No-Win RPI Design: No Rez

It's a beta, so people should be encouraged to try to find bugs that are fatal by not having to waste a character doing so. Also, all RPAs might find bugs on their end that are fatal for characters, which should be resolved if possible. Those are both good things. Circumstantial policy should be def...

Re: Concerns and Constructive Criticism

I don't know anything about this situation, but I recall seeing Icarus saying there was an absolute no-rez policy. If this is circumstantial anyway (like how special apps became), can we please get firm guidelines put in place?

Re: Concerns and Constructive Criticism

I'm confused and a bit dissatisfied, and I think I can share some sentiments with people who left after leaving comments near the beginning of this thread. I must not understand what's actually going on, though. I guess that's why I necromancied this thread and asked if we'd hear back about the plan...

Re: Concerns and Constructive Criticism

Well, Frigga said I was being vague, so I thought that's kind of permission to be exact? It was from a board post, which I also thought was accessible enough to be referred to.

I had questions, no complaints, and I really regret that I'm trolling. I'm very sorry to everyone.

Re: Concerns and Constructive Criticism

I'm glad to hear changes are coming, and will watch out for them. I know I can't see much from an IC perspective, so I asked OOCly for confirmation - and got plenty of answers. I'm also sorry if it looked like I was trolling, I thought I had legitimate questions. :/

Re: Concerns and Constructive Criticism

That's really vague, Ava. Also, to put it on the record, NPCs are more than just the avatars of staffers. Major ones have personalities, stories, and desires and goals which may or may not clash with that of other NPCs. ;) A busty, blonde, gap-toothed woman relies with a quiet voice, versus her mor...

Re: Concerns and Constructive Criticism

Rules were bent, mistakes were made, attempts to roll with the mistakes were made, further ones were made. It was made clear, mind you, that special apps would be considered from the getgo. People just had to ask. "Plot" as we know it, is a tricky thing. The plague on the hillmen was an attempt to ...

Re: Creating Plot

I don't know if the bolded line was intended for me, but I'm sorry if so. I'm a relatively new player and honestly don't know how this is supposed to work. I'll try being more proactive, but I'm not even sure what that means. Petitioning? Journaling things I'm doing? Telling staff I'm doing things i...

Re: Concerns and Constructive Criticism

There's nothing really plot sensitive, I asked just that: how do I go about getting involved in your plot? As a peon, I can attest that until only recently (when I did something drastic), I had seen barge echoes, and one echo specific to a group of people who just arrived back in town. I don't know ...

Re: Concerns and Constructive Criticism

I'm confused between Nimrod and Fulgrim's takes on petitioning up. Could we get a cohesive document on staff policy regarding what people can ask for in terms of plot and development? I've asked about how to get involved, and received dead air. I'm not sure how much more I'm supposed to ask. In addi...

Re: The game economy is broken.

It would be nice to get things like nails a little easier. Their material and scarcity make them out like they're made of gold, which doesn't seem to really make sense. It seems like almost all familiar woodcrafting items need them. Wooden dowels or something as a replacement for certain items would...

Re: Concerns and Constructive Criticism

We're coming up on three weeks since the OP. Do people feel like their concerns and criticisms have been resolved? On their way to resolving? Do things seem like they're headed in the same direction as before?

You lay out a bolt of pale yellow woven wincey and cut out a single square
to work from with a pair of bog-iron shears in hand.

*crash!*

It happened twice now - pretty sure this cut cloth-ribbons is crashing the game.

Re: Hunger and Food

It turns into unnecessary spam and food stores take a real dive. When you start seeing some of the food stores in some places though - it makes it hard to believe that having or obtaining the food is actually the problem though. There has to be some way to balance spam foraging and spam hunting. :l...

Re: Hunger and Food

For a really active, fit man (like a lot of our characters!) to maintain weight, 18 calories per pound of body weight daily is a good average. So a fit man at 180 lbs needs approx 3240 calories a day to maintain. If the meat chunks, burnt or otherwise, are about six ounces and have a bit of fat on t...

Re: Speedwalking and Idling

Sorry. I definitely do this to people. Sometimes I can play just fine from work, and other times it's problematic. I usually try to hide while I play during these times, but I really can't guess when I'm going to drop off. My time to play outside of work is really messed up, so sometimes it's my onl...

Also, I'm very broke and hungry often, so eating hunks of imaginary meat is welcomely distracting.

Ok, how about this. Not being able to use the kill command on a PC until they are unconscious and then have a little blurb about how douchy it is, forcing you to type kill again. Edit: Maybe even a way to engage in a turn based final combat scene which would really only work well in one on one figh...

Lasercrossbow tag. And bring back the gunfire noise echoes, but replace them with 'pews'!
