Re: How Do We Do This Thing?

The pervasive fiction of elite players has always kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Especially when it's spoken of among players and it makes good roleplayers feel like they're inadequate in some way. I think everyone brings something to the table, no matter their roleplay style or skill. If you're ...

Re: Random SOI Thoughts

Well, that's always a given. :P More serious question: Erm, where would I go about getting a new password for my game account again? This is kind of embarassing... You can change your password from the log-in screen. Otherwise, message staff. Otherwise, though, I remember it being awesome to RP wit...

I am new to this mud and not quite sure how all the emotes work (ie do to the start line my emote makes nill sense) or the past events that I could work into my character for well... character, I am shy to do anything to risky so I feel a little lacking in depth do to my unfamiliarity with the mud ...

Re: Character Depth

Believable characters are what I strive for above most when it comes to making personalities and backgrounds, and developing how a PC acts. I also have a tendency to go through and plan out potential development arcs with the character based on his background, but it's important to keep things flexi...

Re: RPP Roles

What is the procedure for players interested in these roles? Do they require a support ticket, a note in the background section of the character application, a petition up before commencement, or some combination of the above? p.s. If I'm reading the announcements correctly, all roles require but d...

Re: Crafting Requests

I don't know how difficult a change it might be, but is there any chance we could get antlers turned into a consumable with multiple charges? I guess it would depend on the size of the antlers, but I feel like a large set from a large deer could produce at least two or three handfuls of carved beads...

Re: Crafting Requests

Any chance we could get the ability to hold knitting needles for all of the knitting crafts?

If I remember correctly, adding the ability to sit while doing it isn't an easy fix, but if it is, that would be awesome, too.

Okay, so, this conversation pretty much needs to stop. None of this is constructive, none if it is doing anything besides piss people off. I understand that things are frustrating, and that everything is basically going in circles, but constantly round-robin'ing comments about game design and other ...

Re: Presence

Generally I have no problem with rolling with the idea that we just need to wait to have the issue at hand resolved/made better in the future, but I find I'm pretty much in the same camp as a lot of the others in the thread. The concepts that Presence governs are things that should be dictated by IC...

Re: Destiny PS4

Looks overhyped, can I get a review? Extremely solid gun-play and character building. I've only played one of the 3 classes (and haven't quite unlocked the sub-classes for it yet), but I'm enjoying the fact that the tank class feels like a tank, versus just having other abilities. The PVP is good, ...

C. (see above) If you want to reference a clever phrase with an image to be cutting, make sure you have your facts straight beforehand. I took that image as a prediction on what would happen if we made the thread. :P More seriously, we used to have an opt-in feedback thread, but I'm not sure if the...

That first one is determining fish size and quality. Higher check you pass the better the fish. Then which of those makes you just outright not get a fish? I figured it was the master check since that's the only place I'll get to and it says..blah blah, lost in the struggle. Like Matt said, those c...

Re: Roleplay "Rules of Engagement"

I've always been a huge fan of carrying several, ongoing conversations. It strains realism a little bit, but it's worth it for exactly what you're talking about. If me and PC A are having an intense conversation, I'd still like to strike up conversation with PC B, to keep him from being bored to te...

Re: Roleplay "Rules of Engagement"

Some players I know have been experiencing a lot of lag lately. It's possible you ran into them at the wrong time. Other players, myself included, have frequent irl distractions (e.g., phone calls, people at home interrupting, emergencies, etc.). Usually, I will make a brief ooc note to those prese...

Roleplay "Rules of Engagement"

So, lately in game I've been experiencing something that has progressively bugged me more and more each time it's happened: There will be situations in character where I'll ask a question, emote, or just direct a tell at someone in particular, only to be entirely ignored. Not like, ICly ignored, whe...

Creating Plot

Tangent: Is it just me, or do other people find it much harder to be pro-active and create/seek plot when their PC is enlisted as a peon in a traditional, hierarchical clan? Should we be talking less about plot disparity** between players (which is pretty much inevitable) and more about plot dispar...

I definitely feel like I write better emotes (and pmotes, for that matter) when I'm roleplaying with people who write in a consistently impressive way. I don't think it's necessarily bad to use the same adjectives and verbs repeatedly as long as they can express the point you're trying to make, and ...
