Re: Departure of Icarus

it felt like Icarus was carrying the game on his back for quite some time. His RPTs were amazing and he was super active. Not sure whether the game is going to manage without him unless someone else steps up to the plate. Icarus, Tiamat, and Jaunt are pretty good contenders for the best combat-mins...

Re: Fun

Well dang, people don't want cursed loot? And here I was working on a really nifty tea-kettle that spews insults every time someone pours a cup. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Re: Official Policies of Shadows of Isildur

As this seems to be stressed again due to recent events, an additional amendment to the above: Any and all scenes of sexual intercourse are, and forever shall be, considered consentual. If you as a player do not consent, or your player character does not consent, you are not obligated to continue th...

Re: Suggestions

The bottom line is, Players are the ones making these items, and Players are the ones setting the price for said items. Re: Suggestions

I'm asking that all of this be standardized. Is it going to take 150 hours of timers and 1500 coppers to get an ordinary-quality suit of iron mail? Timers and prices need to be standardized with the perception that we're going to be moving forward, not off what is currently in-game. And as Icarus p...

Re: Suggestions

A suit of oiled leather takes 20-26 hours of timers and costs 400-500 coppers. A suit of iron mail takes around 75 hours of timers and costs 700-800 coppers. A honed, iron weapon takes 36 hours of timers and costs between 70-150 coppers, depending on the weapon style. This is inconsistent. The mate...

Re: Suggestions

I think Icarus stated somewhere earlier in the thread that they're actually trying to keep the higher end (and right now that's oiled leather) armors scarce. Personally, I'm all for that and think that if timers are helping to keep it scarce then it's probably working as designed. Weapons do take a...
