Re: Is it time to consolidate?

The only way to make and keep everyone happy is to have the two opposing spheres. There are people who play for the RP, the PvP, for being an orc and for being a human. Both sides offer PvP and RP or just RP. Consolidating will cause you to cut out a chunk of your playerbase. Personally, I have litt...

Re: Map of Utterby

Version 3 is up, added the expanded map of the Lodge, and a missing exit from the Training Yard of the Guardhouse.

Re: Map of Utterby

Thanks!

I'll add that in. It's going to take some major movement, but it'll be done.

I assume that the black squares correspond to the 16 and 17 on my map, and the square just outside the one marked 11?

Re: Map of Utterby

Yeah, I know the wall doesn't do that, but I didn't know how else to make the wall be 'above' the rest of the town and the southern part of the town be adjacent to the river. Putting the rooms of the palisade over the river didn't seem right either. I'll see if I can make it a little visually accura...

Map of Utterby

Hey folks. I made a map many years ago for the circles of Minas Tirith and Fahad Jafari, and actually some other places. I figured I would make a map of Utterby as well. I know it's small and not as crazy as MT once was, but hey, I wanted to give it a shot. It's rough, but I added the river and some...

Re: Hunger and Food

If that is the case, why is the Ironwood Inn larders filled with cooked food? I can personally attest to the back room being filled with cooked food, and in addition to that two additional shelves being filled with food that has not been placed in the storeroom to reduce the massive list what would ...

Thank you Oblivion. Your words mean more to me than any financial assistance. I don't mind, and again, I don't want anyone to think they need to do anything. Words are more than enough.

A request for help - Lost a student

I recently found out that a student of mine in a house fire. I was many, many kilometers away at the time. I'm a rather private person and one of the draws of this community is the fact that we can hide behind out usernames and our characters without any questions of who we really are. I need to sha...

Re: How much should I play?

Same deal for me EltanimRas. I haven't played in a couple weeks and I'm not finding myself driven to do so. I am beginning to have a niggling suspicion that I simply feel that my best days are behind me, that I've told the stories that I wanted to tell, and I'm not sure what story, if any, I want t...

I love it too, and love just browsing it for hours!

Glorfindel was cool. There are cooler elves, but Glorfindel, I think was one of the more action minded elves. Thats why he died in Gondolin.

Re: Witch King of Angmar

From the encyclopeda of Arda: After that first assault, the Witch-king bided his time in Carn Dûm. As the years passed, a great plague wiped out the last people of Cardolan, so that only Arthedain remained of the lands that were once ruled by Elendil. At last, in III 1974, the Lord of the Nazgûl str...

I drive six days to get to my wife's old house with her mother in law. Within five minutes of how was the drive, oh, what a cute daughter, how are you... And all that I'm on my iPad responding here. Re: A good moan

We're in an Alpha without an established culture, looking at the past through rose-colored glasses. The spheres are more crowded than SoI-that-was often -ever- was. Of course you're going to see a greater -number- of people stepping by you. But that doesn't mean the culture's 'changed' so much as t...

Re: A good moan

I agree with jdidds. I've noticed a huge change in difference in RP and RP opportunity. Things have changed a great deal. People don't emote like they used to, and that is true. I can spot a player from old SoI in a few minutes of being in a room. But this is a good thing. The player base has change...

Request: empty Large cauldron

I have a ten gallon cauldron filled with water, but I can't use it in the crafts I need, it needs to be empty. I think it was accidentally filled earlier by someone else. It would be nice if there was an empty cauldron craft to turn the cauldrons from full to empty, without having to use the crafts ...
