Re: [Feedback Request] Current Armor & Weapons

I will agree that it is an advantage... that is the whole point behind throwing away a shield in favor of another weapon. As for peak strength...(some humans can lift half a ton) I think that is just people trying to find a way to limit dual wielding (which is desperately needed, but more for practi...

Re: [Feedback Request] Current Armor & Weapons

I don't think that the off-hand weapon should automatically deal less damage. Or that it should be restricted to just daggers. I will however agree that most people are weaker in their off hand, unless truly ambidextrous. Speaking of, do we even have handedness? The main issue with dual wielding sho...

I assume that is because the current administration uses the note system more responsibly?

Re: PVP: how is it these days?

We have to accept the mindset that, in a fast-paced situation, sometimes code must equal roleplay . Why do the situations need t be so fast-paced? I realize that game time is sped up, mostly so that people can experience day/night and the various seasons in their RP encounters. That aside, the pace...

Re: Increased player count, what brought you back?

What brought me back.. fond memories, and dissatisfaction with the alternatives.
But I am not entirely back yet either, at least IC.
I want to play more, but RL gives me odd hours to work with.

Melkor wrote:But again, what is broken about the RPP role system where we would need this anyway?
Not so much as that is is broken, they are just trying to get away from any claims of favoratism by granting a skill boost to the new characters of all long-term players, in theory.

Viewing the trailer, I have to agree.

Painting Guidlines

Now I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, but there is one aspect of room descriptions that has always bothered me. Why can't all the little things (nouns) mentioned in the descriptions be looked at, even if there isn't a tangible object for the players to interact with? (be nice if we could still...

crafting loop

I was just thinking how some crafts would be a lot easier to manage if we could set them to be performed x times with one command. Provided we had the ability in our timer to perform them all. Better still, a means to just repeat it until you run out of supplies (or branch, whichever comes first). T...

Re: Pfile Notes

I would place the caveat that we should only see the 'character' notes when said character dies or gets retired.

Ideally, if staff actually has criticism to offer, they would actually confront the player so that player can address the matter. We can't try to improve what we don't know is an issue.

Any chance we can nix the hiding of new MUD output while composing something?
Yes, yes, I know about the notepad trick, but that could still leave you open for half a second or more.

Re: Carry Over

Here here... i would love to see certain craftsets used more on a daily basis, or a more viable excuse for continued use on a daily basis.

Relying on player's needs is a good way to never rep the skill, especially when you can't make what they want because you haven't repped enough to branch it yet.

Re: Player Comments (Reputation)

I have nothing against it, but i hope it would track a per person rating as well.
That way if there is a problem person, their comments can be excluded from the overall score.

Re: Crafting Requests

I would also love to see a lot of the smaller finished wooden pieces count as firewood without having to use 'scrap wooden-items'. one issue I see with this idea is Bob McFrontiersman bringing some firewood into his kitchen so he can do some cooking, and since crafts will pull the first usable item...

More throughput in woodcrafting. Blocks in specific seem to me very large or very small depending. I view them as actual cross sections of the log, then wonder why so much of it seems to go to waste in crafting. It like to see us be able to further pare down blocks into disks and short staves, get l...

Re: Carry Over

Would the 25 per RPP apply to a character's maximum skill pool as well, or just the starting skill pool?
