I would rather re-enlist than go back to being staff. Utmost respect for the staffers.

Re: Bored

The difference between those who play and those who' know hiw to play'. Does this sentence actually mean something? Do not act as if you do not know. The correct builds, the right people, needed skills and a sympathetic ear all wrapped up in to one nicely wrapped package. It is not the first time t...

Re: Bored

[sidenote] At the time, the hillmen were the foremost combat experts in the game. Good builds, master-level skills, mostly composed of players who were highly proficient at PVP, and often beyond the Guard in terms of gear. Honestly, if they had gotten all the Guard PCs together and duked it out wit...

Re: An In-Depth Look: Wargs

They must be big enough to ride by goblins and orcs Goblins and orcs are smaller than humans. Small pony sized? http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/06/09/article-2338608-18802C73000005DC-145_634x433.jpg Perhaps similar to this, leaner, tougher and not ridden in the typical manner. More akin to a joc...

1) A lot more plot. Plots that tie into other plots, that tie into bigger, more long-term plots. Plot-twists. I like my RPIs to be like a television show. Y'know, the kind where the main characters die, and you're constantly meeting new ones. I know that there's always an argument of sandbox vs sto...

5. Add 0 RPP humans (not necessarily slaves, just bad humans) to the badguy side. - Yeeeeeeeeeaaaah! And then change around the layout so that humans and wargs and orcs all are forced into the same social hub! Woo! (Not sarcasm. Completely serious.) The people above me contributed far more to the c...

Re: Kirking it Up: The Red Shirt Syndrome

The best, most proactive roleplayers in the RPI Community are a large part of what makes RPIs work. Their example has encouraged less experienced or capable players to reach higher levels of play. That's something to remember. Disagree with this. The best and most valuable ones are those that see a...

Re: New Races, Balance, and Lore

As I understand it, few people actually play Elves, or will ever be able to do so. Sad but true. More people have played dorfs and hobbits and Dunedain. Or whatever 2-4 rpp races we may have. Perhaps a simpler solution would to remove Elves from PC play and focus on the 'younger' races. The workload...

Re: New Races, Balance, and Lore

Instead of stat boosts what about a raised skill cap for dorfs and knife-ears? It would remedy a lot of problems while also preventing the grinding of skills mentioned elsewhere? The flip side would be humans have lower skills though.

Re: Warg Docs

i would love to see a trial run of experienced mordor sphers players to demo it. With wargs having strict avenues of rp it can very easily turn in to a frenzy of chief killing. People who can reign in their ability to behead a sphere and take over leadership. Wargs submit -read submit- to being ridd...

Standardization is a good thing. But if skills (outside of roles) start out much higher ultimately it will be the new players, our life blood, that will suffer in the long run.

Re: Darkest Dungeon

Graphics are not everything, but I wish in games that lacked them it was made up for in gameplay. Many games now are just meh, still have a $60 pricetag attached to them. Or are becoming more 'cinematic', I'm starting to loose hope. :)
