Wilderness animals?
Am I missing something or did all animals besides rabbits, squirrels, wolves, wargs, boar sows and bucks/doe stop existing?
ETA : Opposed to previously.... Foxes, minks, ermines, beavers, badgers, fawns, spiders, snakes, various birds, polecats, bears, boars.

They went poof during the rebalancing.
[Petition: Player] I am ready to begin my interdimensional adventure.

"I fought good today. Yuh. Fought good, 'specially for bein' the kitchen-snaga. Yuh, I did."

Re: Wilderness animals?
The current wilderness seems completely harmless to small groups. Intended, or does it need more rebalancing?
Re: Wilderness animals?
I's a continuous process of slow, incremental improvement.

I wouldn't mind the return of spiders, but the snakes had a habit of winding up in places you wouldn't expect them to be, no matter what the parameters behind their loading were.
The spiders were a good predator item to have in the wilderness because they were dangerous and numerous, and they also didn't provide any profit from killing them, just attrition for the group to burden.

I hope you die right now, will you drink my chemical?

Spiders are going to come back in a big way and everyone will hate them. I'll be on the sidelines, laughing maniacally.

Re: Wilderness animals?
It will get me killed, but spiders seem like they should be hidden. Also like they shouldn't move much though.
Re: Wilderness animals?
I hope they don't show up outside Utterby...
That would be incredibly hardcore, and I'm someone who likes his wilderness deadly. I can imagine how it would be for crafters.
It is pitch black.
You begin jogging southeastward.
You begin jogging southeastward.
You knock on the southern gate.
The southern gate is unlocked from the other side.
The southern gate is opened from the other side.
Someone forces through your shield aside and bites you extremely hard on the right eye!
You grimace as you feel blood begin to flow from a grievous tooth-puncture on your right eye...

Everything gets smaller now the further that I go
Towards the mouth and the reunion of the known and the unknown
Consider yourself lucky if you think of it as home
You can move mountains with your misery if you don't

A really bad sword with a short blade lies here.
look sword
This sword hardly even a sword. It's kind of really just a piece of metal bent like a sword. Its blade is rather short. Kind of pathetic, really.

Re: Wilderness animals?
I think the Wilderness is going in the right direction.
There should be areas of relative safety, areas of unknown levels of threats, and dangerous areas.
I do agree that there could be some more of the latter category and to a higher 'danger' level. But, Alpha.

NPCs do not seem to be obstructed by fog, am I imagining things? You also are able to scan -into- fog.
