Sack in my hand

I'm in the profession room, and it says to make sure my hands are empty, before I leave the room. I have my sack in my right hand, and I don't know what to do with it.

examine <object> is a useful command for determining where objects can be worn. Wear sack back, for example, which it won't ever default to, can be useful.

I'm in the final room, and it says I can purchase odds and ends, but it doesn't give me any list, or tell me how to see what there is that I can buy.

buy <insert item number here>

also enter help buy for a good help file

count lets you know how much money you have.

buy <quantity> <item number> will let you buy x number of the same item without having to type in multiple buy commands. It may also be buy <item number> <quantity>. Can´t remember without having access to the actual game.
