Equipment Condition.

Post by RiderOnTheStorm » Mon Jun 30, 2014 12:26 pm

Do worn/damaged things perform at a lower level or is it just a sign that if you aren't careful, the item will break?

I.E. Does a damaged gambeson protect less? Does a worn longbow give a penalty to shots?

Melee weapons perform worse. Armour's just closer to breaking. Never really checked out worn firearms on Atonement, so don't know about bows.
A skeletal, pig-tailed-haired male teen says,
"Prepare to meet your doom, loping man. It is I, loitering person, your nemesis."

Damaged armor performs at a lower level, when it gets the worn message you want to get rid of it or get it fixed ASAP. Armor has a rating against different weapons, when you get, say a moderate nick on a gambeson, there's less chance the armor will protect you, not by a lot (depending on the armor but even normal leather won't be all that affected by one moderate) the more damaged, the more tattered and in shambles the armor will be from a realistic point of view and thus code makes it that your armor does basically nothing for you now besides weigh you down.
