Inter-Sphere Interactions(PVP)

Postby tehkory » Tue Jul 15, 2014 9:55 pm

This is just an open question to anybody and everybody. Right now, I'm not playing this sort of PC. When I have in the past(most notably on Parallel, re: the Red vs. NinerGuard conflict), I find that the biggest issue is probably conflicting wants/desires when it comes to our interactions.

So. There are those of us right now seeking intersphere interaction. I've seen it, 2 times in the past few days, and I've seen more over however long. But I want to understand. I want to know.

When you 'cross the line' and come over to play with the other side, what exactly are you trying to achieve? Can you describe what a successful hour-or-two might look like? What about a failure? What do you want from the other side(whether it be orcs or humans) when you cross over for a scene?

A prisoner or two, usually. Or just information. Or just to give a good scare.

Death, dominance and loot. Wouldn't mind prisoners.

Just a good scare. To receive or to give. Dying sucks no matter how you hatch it. I'd rather steal off a living enemy and let them tell the tale than kill and loot like they were some mob.
I hope you die right now, will you drink my chemical?

As much as I usually disagree with the player, dominance is a good word here.

High end rp if it's one on one or two on two. Otherwise I don't expect it.

I've never actually thought of why I, personally, seek out PvP. I always just think, well this is something my character would do right now, and do it.

That said, I usually go for the capture as opposed to the kill, unless my character has other objectives at the time (which usually amounts to scaring the piss out of someone). Dying does suck.
One among the fence.
