Little of Column A little of Column 2...
Re: And I thought I was an addict (old SOI stats)
Some people might be ahead of you for reasons I listed (having more than one account each with a very long-played PC), but it's pretty close to accurate.Tepes wrote:Holy crap. I was third?!
Not sure if I should be impressed with myself, or mortified.
Congratulations

Re: And I thought I was an addict (old SOI stats)
Hah, my character died and I made the list, and not at the bottom either! Though in all fairness it was before I was on staff and now I see why my wife thought I played too much, lol.
Re: And I thought I was an addict (old SOI stats)
Heh. None of my PCs are on the list, because none of them lasted for more than a few months, but back when I had the time to kill and killed it on SoI, I was consistently on for about 50% of the day and close to 100% of my free time.Grommit wrote:363rd. The density graphs were the worst. The top people spend 30-40% PER WEEK EACH WEEK FOR THE PAST YEAR average online. Granted I'm sure some idling was involved, but dang.
I once outfitted two newbies WHILE TAKING AN EXAM.
Ugh, to have no life again...

Lol, I love this.Holmes wrote:I once outfitted two newbies WHILE TAKING AN EXAM.
When I started I was about 13 and I remember my mother calling out to me for dinner so many times and all they would hear from the end of the house was "Mom! I said I was going to be busy between 5-6. This is literally a matter of life and death! I can't come and eat, put it in the microwave I'll heat it later!"
There was also one point at which my father said that if I didn't stop using the computer, he would take me laptop off me and throw it in the lake. My response at one point was something like "And if you did, you'd be dead to me!"

I would MUD while playing League of Legends, emoting between backing/going to lane/during deaths.Holmes wrote:Heh. Don't worry, bro. You were just training me to lane by myself in case I ever had a support who had narcolepsy. It went okay sometimes.tehkory wrote: I would MUD while playing League of Legends, emoting between backing/going to lane/during deaths.

Oh Jia, be still my quivering loins.
Everything gets smaller now the further that I go

Consider yourself lucky if you think of it as home
You can move mountains with your misery if you don't

Also, Skabor's spot near the top of the RPI-addict list is ill deserved. Hidling doesn't count!
A really bad sword with a short blade lies here.
look sword
This sword hardly even a sword. It's kind of really just a piece of metal bent like a sword. Its blade is rather short. Kind of pathetic, really.

Am I the only person currently posting on the forum that hasn't been an admin for SoI /Atonement/Parallel? It feels like it sometimes!

Re: And I thought I was an addict (old SOI stats)
Nope.
Though the games definitely chewed through a lot of them.

I'm happy to see Midas made the Atonement list with the least amount of effort. Part of me thinks he would have preferred it that way.
I am not responsible for the actions of my characters.

I've gone ahead and retroactively made your account an admin over on Parallel.Brian wrote:Am I the only person currently posting on the forum that hasn't been an admin for SoI /Atonement/Parallel? It feels like it sometimes!

Pretty sure I still have imm rights over there. Let's make some hobbits with machineguns! Vultures can be the orcs, reds the Batts, and the Wilmingtons the pansy gondorians.Holmes wrote:I've gone ahead and retroactively made your account an admin over on Parallel.Brian wrote:Am I the only person currently posting on the forum that hasn't been an admin for SoI /Atonement/Parallel? [Petition: Player] I am ready to begin my interdimensional adventure.

I've never been an admin for SoI, though I've been invited/had it suggested. I enjoy the game too much to be an admin and have to deal with all the things they contend with on nearly daily basis. Always much respect to those who see the other side of the Curtain and still manage to have any love for the game or the players.

I would rather re-enlist than go back to being staff. Utmost respect for the staffers.

Damn, Camyra made it that high? You know...for as long as she existed I'm a little disappointed she never made much of an impact. Besides consistently being voted as "unluckiest". Still...she was my one major character and I still miss her. She was fun. In a really depressing way.
Re: And I thought I was an addict (old SOI stats)
Basically exactly the same situation for me. I feel like it would ruin the fun.Oblivion wrote: I've never been an admin for SoI, though I've been invited/had it suggested. You're not alone any longer, Brian - though I've been floating around since I think late 2005 and never staffed anywhere.

Re: And I thought I was an addict (old SOI stats)
It's interesting to see that very few of the longest played characters are Mordor players, whereas a significant number of the most time played per account are either primarily Mordor or at least regular Mordor players.
Mordor players were dedicated but bad at keeping themselves alive.
