All of these 4-phase foraging crafts can be stopped after results have been produced and before their timer has been triggered, too.

Not technically a broken craft, but ...
scout wild-carrot-patch
The item this produces, a white-lace flowered wild-carrot plant, is also in the forage tables, which have no timer. Perhaps it shouldn't be?

I think that's intended. Anyone can use forage and maybe find something interesting, but only someone with the crafts can find what the want when they want it.grover wrote:Not technically a broken craft, but ...

Maybe, but ...Hazgarn wrote:I think that's intended. Anyone can use forage and maybe find something interesting, but only someone with the crafts can find what the want when they want it.
1. That'd be silly. If you have half-decent forage, you can already reliably find specific things - there's no reason to ever take an hour timer hit for one.
2. Other craft-produced plants (mushrooms, "potatoes", leeks) don't appear to be readily foraged in the same way that carrots are.

Come on! That's retarded. I have large in my description. Does that mean I can never repair large holes?
Also...
'Mend gambeson large hole' Should specify what exactly is being repaired. Not targeting myself there....

When you assemble ordinary spear and use a heavy spearhead, it doesn't seem to make a heavy spear. Any insight on this?

Blacksmithing: refine iron-dummy
When I pull up the material list for this craft, that's all it gives me. No craft timer, no skill check, no materials needed.

Re: Broken Crafts
Butchering meat turns it into other meat now.
Render smoky-lard
This craft used butchery rather than cooking as of yesterday for its skillcheck, and is still found in the butchering craft set. In addition, after failing it (no surprise), it didn't produce cracklings like the echo stated it should.
Butchering: render smoky-lard
Phase 1: 10 seconds
In Room (Reusable): a merrily crackling campfire, a lit,
$fireplace0 hearth, or a lit, $stovetop0 stovetop.
Phase 2: 10 seconds
Held or in Room (Consumed): 12 of a chunk of raw boar fat.
Held (Reusable): a $metaltype0 utility knife, a sharp, $metaltype butcher knife, a $metaltype, butcher knife blade, a fleshing knife, or a
rough, bog-iron knife.
In Room (Reusable): a stovetop0 stovetop with a $metaltype1 slab, or a gallon-sized $metaltype1 cooking pot.
Phase 3: 30 seconds Amateur Cooking skill required.
Phase 4: 30 seconds
Produced: 3 of some crispy, crumbled pork crackling.
Phase 5: 0 seconds
Produced: 24 of a lump of smoky lard.
OOC Delay Timer: 180 RL Minutes
OOC Failure Timer: 120 RL Minutes
You fail to keep a proper eye on the melting lard, and return find a scorched, blackened terrible mess of burned fat giving off a terrible stink. You have little choice but to throw the whole batch out save the cracklings.

Yes, we are currently trying to fix some issues with some of the variables in the new butchering crafts, we tried to simply things today (it was my idea
) and it seems to have had some unintended hiccups, so we are trying to fix them.

> sew wide-necked-blouse
You lay out a bolt of woven, pale yellow, coarse wool, spreading it out
flat to inspect and measure.
[...]
After checking the garment, you cut armholes, sleeves, and neckline to seam,
then you fold a wide-necked, natural-hued, coarse wool blouse and lay it
aside.
Looks like the fabric color isn't transferring to the finished product.

Re: Broken Crafts
Can you please submit a ticket or a PM about where that bolt is?
Variables using spaces not dashes can be finicky, so - pale yellow was updated to "pale-yellow" so that will need to be replaced.

Ordinary-textilecraft: sew billowy-skirt
Phase 1: 10 seconds
Held or in Room (Partially Consumed): 4 of a bolt of $fabricstyle2,
$naturalcolor0, $pfabric1, a bolt of $fabricstyle2, $naturalcolor0,
$ofabric1, or a bolt of $fabricstyle2, $mordantcolor0, $ofabric1.
Phase 2: 20 seconds
Held (Reusable): a pair of $metaltype shears.
Phase 3: 10 seconds
Held or in Room (Partially Consumed): a $metaldesc sewing needle.
Held or in Room (Partially Consumed): 4 of a spool of $naturalcolor0
$pfabric1 thread, or a spool of $naturalcolor0 $ofabric1 thread.
Phase 4: 20 seconds Familiar Textilecraft skill required.
Phase 5: 10 seconds
Produced: a billowy, $naturalcolor0 $pfabric skirt.
OOC Delay Timer: 180 RL Minutes
This is currently bugged such that it checks to see if the needle has a charge after it uses the charge. So if you use it with the last charge of your needle, it aborts the craft, and you're down the material and the needle with no results.

Butcher bear-carcass (and backstraps, I'm fairly certain) produces venison on most of the cuts instead of bear (it's been a long time, so I can't recall which exactly, sorry, just that it's most of it)
Also, butcher wolf-carcass produces uncookable steaks, they're flagged as $beastmeat instead of $butchermeat (dunno about haunches, it's the one pesky craft I can't seem to branch

If no craft exists to allow $beastmeat items to be cooked, this still is a problem. I haven't seen any, but I'd assumed they were orc-only crafts. But if they don't exist at all, they definitely should.Icarus wrote:The beastmeat is intentional.dogcatfish12 wrote:Butcher bear-carcass (and backstraps, I'm fairly certain) produces venison on most of the cuts instead of bear (it's been a long time, so I can't recall which exactly, sorry, just that it's most of it)
