Horns - Regional Alerts

Post by MrT2G » Tue Sep 12, 2017 12:43 pm

What about adding a feature to strongholds that automatically sounds a horn if enemies pass through the same area as a stronghold, a horn item in the strongholds that PCs can activate, or both?

Have it require clanning to and a certain rank in the clan that controls the stronghold to activate the horn.

I think this would be a way to make strongholds much more valuable in a way that would reduce potential ganks while creating more opportunities to seek out PvP.

Thoughts?

Great idea.

Adds depth to strategy for placement.

Gives purpose to opposing force to "take fort out"...it impedes travel and reduces surprise.

Facilities side vs side warcraft.

and so on

If not the regional alerts, itd be neat for a message to get written to the war board.

Easterling 1 passed through, east to west, on date.
Easterling 2 passed through, east to west, on date.
Orc 1 passed through, lost, looking for field garlic, east to west, and then west to east, and then north to south, and south to up..

Something similar to this is planned for the Scouts. It's likely not going to show up for some time. The idea of a regional alert is a neat one too, I'll give that some thought.
How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
