Smelting Ore

Blacksmithing: smelt bog-iron-ore
Phase 1: 20 seconds
In Room (Reusable): a $metalforge0.
Held or in Room (Consumed): a bundle of firewood.
Held or in Room (Consumed): 3 of a chunk of bog iron ore.
Phase 2: 20 seconds
Phase 3: 20 seconds Amateur Metalcraft skill required.
Held or in Room (Consumed): an ingot mold carved from $woodtype1 wood.
Phase 4: 20 seconds
Produced: a round ingot of $metaltype0.
OOC Delay Timer: 30 RL Minutes

Suggestion: Have this craft require 3 chunks of bog iron ore ORRRRR 12 hunks of ruined metal, so it can be remade into a bar. This way ruined hunks of metal will have a use beyond the junk command.

Personally rather than 12 hunks of ruined metal, I'd say 15 else there's no 'loss' on failing a craft as it turns into a 1-1 return, besides there has to be -something- wrong with the iron else why is it ruined in the first place?

I'd say given the math, 12 hunks is still a net loss. Can't you fail that ingot craft, also?

Not to mention the firewood and extra mold.

Since I can't make a craft require these things as alternative in different numbers, I think I'll need to make a craft to melt the ruined metal hunks down into the bog iron lump. I'm thinking 6 ruined hunks per bog metal lump. I still want to account for some of the "ruin" in ruined.

I'll do that today, it may be in tomorrow.
