Can you 'forage' without having the craft? What is this table we speak of? Forage survey?

Yes, you can forage without the skill, though you usually don't get much aside from maybe a root or stick. Still, I think if you forage enough you'll eventually get the skill and can go from there.

Haha, you can! You can type forage survey in a room and see what's available in tiers of very common, commmon, rare, etc. based on your skill level. Then you can target by rarity and number off of the table list (forage common 4). Alternatively, you can just type forage and you'll get a pretty random return off of the whole table in general.

Attempted to forage out in the bog today for iron, was told that there still wasn't anything forageable there. Not sure if that's working as intended, but reporting in. :)

This, yeah. If the stuff's in forage tables in lieu of crafts, it would be great if rooms could be set up accordingly. Imagine that's just oversight.

Will put in poor-weaponcrafting revamp soon. Hold onto your pants when this happens. I'm about half-way done with it.

Weekdays suck, alas. I am working on drafting someone to help me with these crafts. It could take anywhere from a few days to another week. We recently had another discussion that will require us to re-do some of the work I've already done. It'll take a bit more time to get this right.

Got it, sorry for posting it in the other thread. I just wanted to be able to quote it easier.

I'm going to be that guy and say:

VISOR. It's actually an anagram for: Visual Instrument and Sensory Organ Replacement.

And yes, that was from memory, because I'm a BIG Star Trek geek. :ugeek:

So, I was told in game that there apparently are no more peats for iron?

Were the crafts removed, or just made harder to find?

My understanding was that it's been changed from a craft to a foragable item.

Is there a chance that the opening up of butchery could include new sources of animal fat? Right now birds are the only animal I know of that you can harvest fat from for frying, when we should really probably be drowning in pork lard at this point...

Eventually, yes. Lard lard lard, all day erryday. Having lard will be nice for things beyond food prep.

I am answerin the question about whether you'll see a higher tier of metaltype. The answer is that you'll see iron as the highest tier for now. I still need to implement the iron craft.
