Although he did (like, I believe, the majority -- if not all -- of your PCs) use staff support to accomplish things that would not otherwise have been codedly possible. We can argue that this, like the Elves, was for the greater good of the game, plot creation, etc., but I don't doubt it also contributed to the same sorts of inter-player resentment.

On topic, unfortunately, I don't have any wishes. I'm entirely content. :P

I think it might be beneficial for the staff to allow players to choose whether they want knife skill or brawling for their free auto-skill. I think a lot of town bound PCs would rather have brawling than be forced to draw a knife to defend themselves.

I wish they echoed for me. I also wish emote and hmote echoed differently for the emoting or hmoting player.

Edit: also tmote. The identical echoes (or lack of echoes, in the case of think and feel) make logfiles confusing to read, unless one logs commands also.

And I wish all characters had matching ldescs and sdescs. And that I could see my own pc's location when I looked at the tables in the bar.

Sketchpad objects that work with the artistry/decorate code, instead of (or in addition to) literacy.

I wish the help files were for the current code and actually helped explain some of these "feel" and "temote" commands that are completely unfamiliar to those players who never played those other muds.

Or a maybe a wiki page "What's new from Ye Olde SoI".

Does anyone else remember seeing their character's birthday in the score on old SOI? I miss that. :(

Wishlist: Telepathy and this newfangled empaths I've heard so much about. I wish these were things. As much as I enjoy harassing the admins with my thinks, it'd be nice to know there's even a chance that other players are seeing them. It would make me play differently, and better. I get lazy sometimes and don't feel like putting in the work for only staffers and me.

Each toolkit affects different things. Also from what I understand there are still changes from the BP that need to come over. Some items flagged to be decoratable are not.

So a toolkit already affects leather, it's just a matter of whether that leather has been flagged and patched to the PP yet.

How would you feel about seeing leather added to the embossing kit?

Among the existing kits, that's most likely the closest in terms of visual description. Having watched a couple of videos on hand-tooling leather, it looks very close to carving or engraving in terms of technique.

(because watching some youtube videos makes me an expert. *sagenod*)

I think I'd rather have baby objects and npc children, becase it's better than having to rp them, where you're basically talking about something that's not there codedly. "Oh...it's so cute...that's a girl? Oh, she's over there?" Like some imaginary friend. Also, I'd like some ic consequences to doin it in the damn outhouses, some sort of itching std or something, that can -not- be sanitary.

I wish medkits had the kit keyword, and had a belt wearloc.

ETA: Also, I wish they were makeable IG. Also, well-stocked medkits that maybe provide a skill bonus. Also that maybe the creation of kits requires the medicine skill? Eh? Eh? Work with me here.
