According to this you should receive 9 gills after a successful completion. There are in fact x9 wooden gills when you do so. If you attempt to pick the stack up, you will only receive one. Also, attempting to put them in the same container, will sometimes 'disappear' them. I.E. you have a wild cherry gill on a shelf, or in a bin, if you put the one you just picked up into that container it will sometimes not appear inside and just have poofed.
