Another clothing craft messes up targeting the needle.

You lay out a bolt of whatever, spreading it out flat

You thread a bog-iron sewing needle with a spool of cinnamon coarse wool
thread and cut off a length you estimate to be sufficient with a snip from
a pair of bog-iron shears.

You are missing one or more items:

You need a $metaldesc sewing needle.


It consumed the last use of the needle, but the craft is still trying to target it a phase after the fact.

Produced: a wooden crossbow stock piece.

It is asking for a component to the utility knife instead of a $metaltype0 utility knife

No. He's saying it's already in the craft.

A charred pheasant from the 'roast charred-gamebird' craft doesn't work. Trying to eat it gives the 'that isn't food. You can't eat it' message.

Butchering: chop stew-meat

This uses the butcher knife blade, rather than the finished butcher knife object.


Fixed to: Held (Reusable): a sharp, $metaltype butcher knife, a fleshing knife, a rough, bog-iron knife, or a $metaltype0 utility knife.

Updated chop orc-stew-meat the same.

- Fixed the ordinary-textilecraft sewing crafts to not check for the needle more than once.

- Fixed meat variable on bear-carcass and boar-carcass

- Fixed it so you can (if you so desire, :| ) cook beastmeat steaks as a non-orc. As we now have folks who might not have the same cultural hang-ups about it.

Or something along those lines, that would be really helpful so I'm not checking things that were already fixed. :D

Maybe just delete the post once you've confirmed it is working. Create a locked thread Fixed Crafts and post them so players know where you are at and don't double/triple/quadruple report them.

This isn't so much a thread for discussion as it is a glorified notification board between staff working on crafts and players. Deleting posts shouldn't ruffle to many feathers.

I didn't actually know this place was a thing so I didnt actually save any of the craft when I did it. When using 'make practice-hammer' you get an object with the sdesc of "a oodcolor mace" and a ldesc of "a $woodcolor mace".

Sorry, I will remember for next time.

So, my last post has been fixed, however I have now noticed that the longswords are having the same problem. The sdesc is oodcolor longsword and the ldesc is $woodcolor longsword.

ETA: the wooden longswords don't actually have longsword as a keyword.

Somehow this seems to have broken the plain-steak craft (or I assume it did, since this was the only change I'm made aware of to the craft).

Not so much broken, but I think the values are off a bit. I was famished, and it took me 14 roasted venisons to get to full. Usually, that much needed food is reserved for eating raw meats.

Not really broken, but can we get the smoke pipeweed craft extended to about five times its length? No sooner have you lit it, five minutes later it begins to grow dull.

Even after the lit pipe object goes out (is no longer "(lit)") it's still a "lit pipe", and all the progs still work.

The 'build campfire' craft doesn't require a simple flint and steel kit. If we're using our awesome scouting skills to make fire, that's cool, but the indoor fire-lighting crafts do make you have a kit.

... Can you get flint and steel anyplace other than the pre-commencement shop? The wiry-whiskered dude didn't have any last time I checked.

I'm not sure if this is a broken craft for a broken object, but it refers to the addition of "a raw wild boar ham" to plain-roast:

Taking up a rough, bog-iron knife in hand, you slice the meat into thick
pieces, serving 6 thick slice of plain utchermeats.

These also appear in the room as 6 thick slice of pain $butchermeats

I'm going to venture a guess also that the new ham roasts have an impossible morph timer to go bad, as it looks like the ham roasted earlier today has already rotted. :cry:

Chop meat-extras is producing a fairly broad selection of meat types.

Lizard, sheep, horse, hedgehog, bat, sheep, pork, songbird....Can we get a mystery meat stew craft?
