craft confusion

So if you look at the brine raw medium and large pelt crafts, some of the same pelt types appear, specifically warg and wolf. Is this deliberate?
Is there a difference in the object numbers that govern which pelt is which size or do you just choose whether you want a medium or large hide?

Emphasis added.
A yellow-eyed, blotchy-fleshed brown uruk slowly slunks over, sneakily swaggering with a sleek step.

In the beginning... wolf pelts could only be used in the medium sized crafts. Then they changed to broaden the usable large-sized pelts. I assume most people will branch the medium pelt crafts (I know I did). Think of it as knowing more about tanning makes you more efficient at trimming them.

That's what I did anyway! I'd rather not remove wolves from either one, since that will trim down the possible options for running either medium or large brining crafts.

Yes. There are different sized wolves and wargs. They come in medium and large.

No, the pelts come in one size. You can treat them to be medium or large.
