Orkish Haiku

Postby Nimrod » Mon Jan 05, 2015 10:19 pm

I seriously need to see some Orkish Haiku. Serious haiku.

vadok ushtarak
vile torture, destruction, blood
cruel death tis mercy

Classic 5-7-5. I'll let you vote for your fav three and choose the best and add to the Palantiri along with proper credit.

Serious haiku? Sounds good.

Bug find rock a rock.
Rock a rock a rock a rock
rock a rock a rock
A really bad sword with a short blade lies here.
look sword
This sword hardly even a sword. It's kind of really just a piece of metal bent like a sword. Its blade is rather short. Kind of pathetic, really.

If an orc sees a
living being, standing there,
does he kill it? Yes.

Deep within the lair
Blackbloods revel with despair
Killing mortals there
Every point ever made was an argument.

Hole in mountain sits
It is full of corpses now.
Eight legs cold and still.

Edit: I'll make more.

Bulgash sits above,
cackling with horrible glee.
Bloody rain, thunder.

Foraging the bogs,
Turning soil into steel,
A red hammer works.

Red Blood spills today,
Blacker blood spills tomorrow,
In the end, all die.

deep in the mountain
the wheels of war are turning
Death's army marches
A really bad sword with a short blade lies here.

You were supposed to write it. Not your character.

The one by AdamBlue was nice. It paints a significant image for me, which is what haiku is all about. Well done.

Forges fires burn
A sharp blade glowing brightly
Bringing death to all
I have two forces by my side
One's the truth and one's a lie
Which one's which I cannot tell
This enigma is my hell

Jagged teeth above
Darkness will swallow you whole
We live in a cave

Heroes come to die
We await with open arms
Let the feast begin

I'm loving these, nice job everyone. Love me some pithy imagery. If someone wants to step up on the voting portion to nominate a few, I'd really appreciate it.

Lol Nim. That first was in memory of the player Bugara I think, who was the most well-played halfwit I've ever seen.

My votes are for
Hole in mountain sits
It is full of corpses now.
Eight legs cold and still.

Foraging the bogs,
Turning soil into steel,
A red hammer works.

Forges fires burn
A sharp blade glowing brightly
Bringing death to all

and Brian's second submission gets the tragic haiku award. Orcs don't know where they come from, or I should say most don't. It's a good one.
A yellow-eyed, blotchy-fleshed brown uruk slowly slunks over, sneakily swaggering with a sleek step.
