Minor Change in how we handle Calories

Post by Nimrod » Tue Jan 13, 2015 10:09 pm

You'll notice that you get full much more quickly right now as we've made some modifications to the calorie calculations on foods. Watch for more information from Frigga on this. You'll continue to notice this until we finish all the updates and the old foods flush out of the game and are introduced by new.

If you notice you're getting full from a few bites of something, please go ahead and junk the rest of it.
How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.

Food! Glorious Food!

As noted by Nimrod, we have recently changed how code handles calories formerly known as "Food Value" behind the scenes.

So what does this mean to you?

- Until things are switched over, food will have far more calories than it really should. You could junk extra portions, etc of things until that's fixed.

- The choices of cooks will have more of an impact on food. Choosing carrots over potatoes or barley over oats can now change the calories on food items within recipes (like stews or baked goods) as well as when by themselves (like boiled carrots or porridge.)

- You might some notice items increasing in "bites" as a result of this change.

Remember - you can indeed eat more than one bite of food at a time. (With all the fun kinds of emotes attached. )
