Progress!!

I have good news folks.

But first, join me in personally thanking Pallando & Taurgalas for their amazing work this past week. They have built dozens of objects, and Taurgalas has completed the foundations of Leathercraft!!!

I'll let Dero have the honor of doing the full write up, but we published the internal Alpha Plan final version this past week. This plan discusses, in detail, every aspect of the game. Rooms, objects, crafts. 250 "todo" items have been posted to our task tracker, and we are moving through them at a good clip! Once these items are done, Alpha will be 95% ready.

Also, Chargen had just gone online for internal testing. Get psyched! Go Nimrod!!

Will we make our goal date? Who knows!! But, we are within an arms reach of getting you IG.

I would make a "six weeks" joke, but I actually think we are within that timeframe.

I'm having Dero post a redacted version of the Alpha Plan here soon so you can see what's been happening. (Make that happen D )

Should have that post up by the end of the day today. Also we're in the works for getting the next Palantir posted for this month. Going to be doing some focus on character creation which I'm really looking forward to. I have way too many concepts in my head right now.

Yeah... Weapon crafting is in, butchery works, hunting crafts are in, leathercraft is wrapped up, tanning is done, and a whole bunch of others.

You're predicting what the next Palantir will contain! Those of us who have been putting crafts together have been working mightily to ensure you'll have a wide range of crafts with quality echoes based on plenty of research. I won't give away yet what all the sets are, but we've been working hard to keep us on track.

So many freaken crafts. Builders have been really busy at it and this is just for Alpha. I'm impressed and I can't wait to see what I come up with for the next Palantir. There will be a bit of a teaser in between.

The total list is still hereand accurate.

For Alpha...

Initial Alpha will have basic-level skill options for most craftsets so we can get the game open. Then we'll begin adding more Ordinary-level skill options for people to branch into. Most Superior-level crafts are being deliberately held off for now to see how the lower levels work and allow us to wait to open that once things are balanced a bit and we've figured out some of our mechanisms for controlling item-creep.

We're holding off on Earthencraft, Vintnering (under brewing), Farming, and Gardening. They will not be available for initial open, but will come thereafter. Stonecraft will be viable initially (and through much of Alpha) for orcs but not humans. (It will be choosable by humans who want it specifically, and share some artistic-item support, but with stone being imported it is not a full-time trade for them.)
