Middle-earth: Lossarnach
Lossarnach is a fiefdom of Gondor - a large, flowery vale that lies
nestled within the southern edge of the White Mountains, and shrouded
beneath the shadow of the great Mount Mindolluin. The vale itself lies
not too far southwest of the city of Minas Tirith, and is nurtured by
the river Erui, a lesser river that acts as a tributary to the great
River Anduin.
Lossarnach was always ruled by a lord, the greatest and most well-known
being Forlong the Fat - a hefty fellow who traveled to the Pelennor
Fields to do battle with the forces of Mordor in the Fourth Age. The
fiefdom was also the birthplace and home of Morwen Steelsheen, queen to
King Thengel of Rohan.
Note: The word "Lossarnach" means Snowy-Arnach; Arnach being a
pre-Numenorean word, most likely meaning land or region.
