Crashes and other problems

We are currently experiencing some difficulties with our databases. Since SOI3 relies heavily on MySQL for forum, game and informational pages, we are experiencing problems in all areas. This includes loss of attachments to some posts, increased lag in the game, and the inability to diagnose other game-realted crashes. If you have submitted a ticket, we know about it, but at this time, nothing can be done. We ask for your patience as we work on this. As soon as we are back up and running, it will take a few days to catch up on all of the issues.

Our database problems and related issues have been resolved. I have fixed a couple of the critical crash bugs. New players can now be accepted, without crashing the game. I've also added additional code to deal with spammers which caused occasional crashes.

BETA Players need to read the MOTD in the game. It contains important information. The MOTD is displayed twice during the login sequence, and you can access it anytime with the "news" command.
